I have an interesting experiment going in my garden My dad gave me his compost, and it has some kind of curcubit in it. I am not sure what this will be. But for science, i'm just gonna let it grow. What’s happening with my philodendron? I’ve been traveling around the states with this poor philodendron for the past year (it’s two plants in one pot). I’ve finally settled down and realized the one on the left has all its leaves curled. I’ve watered and it hasn’t helped and the right one looks healthy so I’m thinking maybe it’s root rot? This pot is probably too big too, I’m pretty new to plant care so I’m just learning how to care for them. I’ve had this plant for a couple of years too and dropped the pot at least twice, and the soil was super low for a while. (It’s basically been through plant hell 🥲). Anyways I’d looove some advice on how I can revive these little guys and encourage some new growth and hopefully save the guy who’s struggling. Free plant from Homedepot employee cleaning up broken vase. Was in the houseplant section of Homedepot and a employee was cleaning up glass/ water from a broken bowl with a hydroponic plant in it. I heard him tell another employee, I feel bad tossing a perfectly good plant and then looks at me and asks if I have a place to plant it and I of course said yes. #1. What is it. #2. Should I keep it in water or can I plant in soil? The roots looked like they still had some soil on them so maybe only recently converted to water. Where do I start Just had drain pipes replaced. Yard is tore up. Trench was 3 feet wide, but when filled back in, I have about a 8 foot wide section of this. The fill in is about 6 inches above the rest of my lawn, way more rocks then I was expecting. And., I don't know if this stuff is clay, brown soil, or something else. I guess I'm just looking for a starting point. It's definitely more work then I can do alone. Not sure if it's salvageable with a landscaped and resending, or full on new sod.
