• First garden is up and running!

I snagged a spot at my community garden this year and finally got everything in the ground (our last frost date is memorial day). I think I went a little overboard on the flowers so they're a bit crowded but I'm excited to see how it goes! Tomato cages incoming, I'm picking them up this week.

  • Recs for shade cloth setup

It’s getting to that time of year where my small garden needs shade cloth. Anyone have recommendations on how to cheaply set up shade cloth on poles? I found this option at Home Depot but it’s pricey. I’ll need at least 2 poles since I can secure one side to my house. I believe I have enough shade cloth from prior years on hand.

Originally I was going to get 7’ pvc pipes cut and just put into the soil of the raised bed, but I don’t think those would be very sturdy. At that height it might fall over easily or shift too much.

  • Can I zip tie his stalks closer together?

His branches stick out too far and I don't want my cat to eat him! Can I siz tie the edge ones to the middle ones to hold them closer? I recently re-potted him because he was getting huge and don't really have a better place to stoe him since he is so heavy

  • Jelly Beans growing on concrete floor and flowering!

    Sooo pretty

Amazing how it grew all of a sudden on a concrete floor and it's even flowering!

I am extremely tempted to take some cuttings.

  • Will this set up hurt the concrete underneath?

My wife is worried that the heat from underneath the firepit will make the concrete crack. I have no experience with this type of firepit so I was hoping someone more knowledgeable could give me some advice. Thanks!

  • Is she okay?

I bought her 6 months ago and have repotted. She is getting so tall however are the pink “needles” good or bad?

  • Can this be saved or is it a goner?

This was left out and got a heavy rain. It rotted. I’m still learning succulents. Any help is appreciated.
