  • Best way to fix this?

Dug up my landscaping in the backyard and got rid of all the mulch because my dogs were already beginning that job themselves. Haven’t got around to fixing this because I don’t even really know where to begin. It’s mostly just weeds right now. What’s the best way to fix this? Taking any and all suggestions. (Has been raining like the past week here so that’s why there’s
    so much water.)

  • Help with converting fountain to Sarracenia planter

I want to convert this cement pond/fountain into a giant planter for tons of pitcher plants. I’ve grown them before so I’m comfortable with their care.

It is about 6-7” deep and like 5’ across. It has two small holes, drainage and pump electrical/water supply (no water or electrical currently hooked up).

My idea right now is to remove the old non-working hardware and seal the holes. Then layer large-ish (2-3”) rocks on the bottom, landscape fabric/felt, then pitcher plant soil mixture. I’ll have a pvc pipe in the middle that I can bottom water through, and a couple overflow pipes for when it rains.

Does that sound like a good plan? Any tips or advice?

I’ve never grown carnivorous plants outside of individual pots. Any other plants that would be good to add to the planter?

    Hello,

Are the ends of the branch’s supposed to a lot darker then what’s below?

I had a previous post and since then I took the plant out of the pots to checked the roots and they were all white and strong. Washed them all off and then repotted in new potting mix. I just never noticed that the end of the stems, I guess you could say, new growth, were that much darker.
