Help with converting fountain to Sarracenia planter I want to convert this cement pond/fountain into a giant planter for tons of pitcher plants. I’ve grown them before so I’m comfortable with their care. It is about 6-7” deep and like 5’ across. It has two small holes, drainage and pump electrical/water supply (no water or electrical currently hooked up). My idea right now is to remove the old non-working hardware and seal the holes. Then layer large-ish (2-3”) rocks on the bottom, landscape fabric/felt, then pitcher plant soil mixture. I’ll have a pvc pipe in the middle that I can bottom water through, and a couple overflow pipes for when it rains. Does that sound like a good plan? Any tips or advice?
