  • What are these holes from pests?

I’m going to inspect the rest for pests that have stayed behind if so. Any ideas on what these could be from?

  • Deck vs Patio

Our back deck is getting old and needs replaced. Can’t decide between a new deck or a concrete patio. Wife would like a patio, however I’m not sure how I feel about stepping down stairs after coming out of the back door. Leaning towards some sort of combination but not sure how it would look. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Plant care resources

I repoted my Neem tree and it seems to be dying over the last 3 weeks.

    I water it 1-2 times a week.

The tree is beside South facing window so lots on sunlight.

Any resources you use to take care of your plants? Any apps or anything?

  • What's this vine growing through my fence?

This vine is growing through my neighbors and my fence and my dog keeps munching it. Has clusters of 7 leaves. Ultimately wondering if it's toxic. Thanks!

  • Show me your dramatic plants

This is my variegated arundinacea. I went a few hours after her normal watering time and she shriveled up. The after photo is her after getting that water. Most dramatic maranta I have

  • What do we think is happening here?

So you will see a really healthy, beautiful Jack Frost, brunnera and in front there is two smaller Jack Frosts planted this year about a month ago. I searched high and low for two more of these plants and now they have mysteriously died? Did I over water or Underwater? It’s June in Tennessee but I planted late May. I made sure they had total shade getting established and they only get about three hours of sun a day now. thanks!

  • Fisker lost the battle too some Spotted knapweed

Apparently in my little armpit of Washington Spotted Knapweed is a Noxious weed that I can get fined for if I don't deal with it.. unfortunately I didn't realize just how quickly it spreads and doubly unfortunately right up the road is a very large over grown patch of it just spreading all it's nasty seed everywhere.

I had seen the Fisker weed puller on here and decided to give it a shot, the first time I used it went ok it got the medium to large weeds out but the small ones just slip through, the second time though, one large bunch of this stuff broke the plastic. Turns out the heavy duty they claim isn't the heavy duty I apply to stuff. I'm not sure if there is an all metal one on the market but I guess I'll be looking for a different weed puller.

In the meantime, does anyone have any slick methods of getting rid of this crap? It's mostly on an easement between a sidewalk and the street which I'm responsible for keeping cleaned up. The last resort would be bombing the area with a weed and grass killer, I would like to get some grass to grow eventually but this stuff will eat it alive. I can spot treat I guess but there's a ton of little spots.

Additionally when fall and winter come around is there something I should put down to prevent this from coming back next spring? Thanks!

  • When to harvest new potatoes?

I’m growing some Red Norland pototoes in small containers (3 gallon I think). If I harvest some now, will the plant make more potatoes? Or once the first potatoes start that’s all the plant produces?
