• Privacy planting in damp/water logged soil

Have been a bit stumped about how to plant for privacy in this area. Our gutter runoff is redirected here + a high water table means that this soil can be water logged at times. Otherwise, full sun area. Any suggestions?

  • Cut flower buds off or leave it alone?

Lost a lot of leaves this winter when I brought my lemon tree inside. Since being back outside it recently pushed out a ton of flower buds. Should I let the plant do its thing or remove them to promote leaf growth?

There has been a lot of rain in May and this first half of June so I do not water it. It gets at least 7 hours of sun and the plant is in a terracotta pot.

    Thanks in advance,
    Novice

  • OMG finally

I bought this Monstera three years ago. It was a fresh cutting with one leaf, one root, and part of the stem. It had pretty variegation, so I was very happy. But the new leaves were mostly white. They looked like half-moon leaves half white, half marbled with a lot of white and mint on marbled part. I stopped loving this plant pretty quickly because it grew sooo slowly and turned brown all the time. I knew I had to cut it and hoped the new leaves would be greener. But because of the slow growth, I had to wait forever to do it. And when I finally did, the new leaves were even whiter! But finally, after three cuts, it has beautiful variegation and is growing quickly.

  • Can someone tell me what this is in my vegetable garden?

It rained all day yesterday and today I went to check on the plants and found this between a cherry tomato plant and an onion plant.

  • What is this thin dark plant called?

I took a picture of this thin black plant in early May in the southeastern part of the U.S. It’s about half the height of a blade of grass. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it before. Also I have no idea if it grows into something else or if this is its final form.

    Anyone know what these are?

  • looking for advice

    hi friends

my husband bought me a starfish plant a few years ago and ive been checking in on every so often. i repotted it a few weeks ago and added soil bought from home depot to fill in the bigger pot. since then, (i think???) my plant has grown a little bit bigger, but, im noticing a few things.

    - does the soil on top look moldy to anyone ?
    - what are these clovers growing next to it and is it normal ?
    - why do some (im just going to call it) branches have nubs and others do not ?
    - and lastly, will the fate of this plant result in death if i continue to ignore these issues ?

    hoping for some answers !!
