What is this thin dark plant called? I took a picture of this thin black plant in early May in the southeastern part of the U.S. It’s about half the height of a blade of grass. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it before. Also I have no idea if it grows into something else or if this is its final form. Anyone know what these are?
