  • Is it alive?

Can anyone help me identify this cactus? It sits on an eastern window and has grow lights, but I'm not even sure if it's alive. I've had it a year.

  • Solo artist

My mom’s zz plant wasn’t doing well and I suspected it was root bound so we un potted it and i took out some rhizomes that had some yellowing branches and planted them. All the old branches died but a new one popped up that is double the height of the original. It’s been a year and it’s happy but aesthetically funky. I would like it to grow more branches. I’m tempted to put it in a darker spot to see if that will encourage more foliage based growth. Is this a good idea or do I just need to be more patient? (Gets watered twice a month and is front of a shaded window on the west side)

  • Black & White resting up after some heavy work

I strongly dislike the first branch coming out of an inside bend, the plan is to allow it to extend this year, and then bend it around and approach graft it to the opposite side.
Third branch right hand side recently approach grafted to add a branch where one was clearly missing.

  • Cover ugly gap at the bottom of concrete slab

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm trying to find a solution to cover the bottom of the concrete slab of my shed.

The contractor couldn't dig deeper to pour the concrete, because of the roots of a tree.

I've just had paving stones installed in front of the shed and now there is a visible gap with the imperfections in the slab right in front of the stones.

Do you guys have ideas to hide this ?
Would you caulk it, add some parging, or something else ?

    Thanks in advance
