• My epiphyllum oxypetalum finally bloomed!

Please forgive my messy apartment! This is its first bloom and was hiding from me behind the blinds

  • Help needed labeling flower model

We lost the key to this flower dicot model and need to make a new one. We are not plant experts at all and are having trouble figuring out what the numbers are supposed to correlate to. Can someone help us?

  • Help Needed Pruning Aloe Arborescens

I’ve got an aloe plant (probably around 10 years old) that’s gotten really leggy over time. I think it is aloe arborescens, please correct me if I'm wrong. It has a bunch of new shoots growing from the base, but the main stems are tall, bare, and a bit unruly. I’m thinking of pruning it to clean things up and let the new growth take over.

My idea was to cut the tall main trunks pretty low, close to the base, and let the pups take over the pot. I’d also like to try propagating the parts I cut off. I’m wondering:

    * Is June a good time to do this, or should I wait until later?
    * Would it be better to cut the stems higher up instead of all the way near the base?
    * What’s the best way to root the cuttings?
    * Is it possible to cut one of the longer trunks into multiple sections and root each one separately?
    * Should I be thinning out some of the base shoots as well?

I’ve added a photo of the plant for context. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • What is this cactus?

My neighbor has this cactus in their yard, it grows these little green balls that the birds pick at. The inside looks exactly like red dragonfruit. Anyone know what this cactus is called?
