  • Starting off smaller

About a month ago I made a post asking for advice building a 65 gallon terrarium, however this will be my first build, and after considering the advice I was given I realized that it would be too big of an undertaking, and that led me to Facebook marketplace, where I found this gem for $20 it's about a foot tall, I thought it could be the foundation for something wild, I don't have any concrete ideas yet, but I'm definitely leaning towards the idea of putting a string of fairy lights in the insert, I was thinking about a candle but was concerned that might make it too hot inside the actual terrarium part

  • Hydrangea after a very snowy winter

I’m in Ontario and not sure if I should remove these branches or wait. The spots where it should have leaf buds by now seem dry, but the wood was green-ish on several branches… It was so beautiful last year
No consistent watering schedule yet this year as it’s just truly warming up and we had plenty of rain.
It gets plenty of indirect sun all day long, some direct sun at noon hours.

  • Broccoli issues

Does anyone have any idea why my broccoli is looking like this? It was in a neat head and then turned into this!

  • Repotting…

I love the idea of using clear containers for repotting and then sitting it in an actual pot/planter, but what does everyone use for the clear containers? Thank you!

  • What is this plant?

    What is this plant?

I just bought it from a garage sale, I wasn't planning to get it, but they kind of just gave it to me so I wana know how to care for it, what it is, how much it needs water and sun etc.

  • I spend Saturday morning weeding the garden.

I've been actively keeping the weeds down last month, trying to stay one step ahead. I used the Skidgear Weeder and my rototiller if there was room. I feel good about my efforts. Have a great weekend.

  • Planted new tall fescue grass about a month ago. We used topsoil from my land and my whole lawn is basically covered with lady’s thumb weed. Any suggestion how I should tackle this? Should I wait until next Spring to use post emergent or am I able to use it during this time of the year?

  • Birds Nest Fern - Pests?

New growth on my Birds Nest fern has white build up on it. I have been treating for pests with Neem Oil spray weekly and added cinnamon as well (which I think is the cause of the browning leaf damage?).

I am trying to determine what exactly is on this leaf and how to properly treat it.

The pot has drainage and watering approximately once a week, fertilizing monthly, next to a south facing window with a grow light as well.
