Mama bee balm has some splainin to do! Last year, I bought a small, quart sized plant of bee balm, the Jacob Cline cultivar, which is known to be cherry red. There were only three small little stalks, a handful of bright red flowers, and that was it. This year, they quintupled in size. Not only did they reach over 5 feet tall, there are at least 20 stalks coming up. What is super interesting, is several of them have a flower that is a completely different color, almost resembling the lavender wild bergamot. Has anyone else experienced this? God smiling upon my work Finally got grass well established around the entire pond after seeding it into submission over the last year or so. The patch on the lower right corner was the last of it. After regrading and seeding it all once a spring popped up in that area and turned it into an unmowable mud pit. I dug it up, piped it into the pond and started re-seeding in early April. Help meh lol Can’t believe I’m in the southest of south Louisiana and asking this but I planted a bunch of okra and need recipes to test these here with first. I could probably ask literally anyone down here but just seeing if there’s any other southern farmers on here too. Buddy had hit me up with a guy selling locally so I got some to play around with recipes and storing wise, just to get to know it and try it out cause it’s been calling my name lol. What’re some awesome recipes for it? And pickling recipes too! Ive got a load of cukes and jalapeños as well to add in the mix if you’ve got recipes including those. Thank yall!
