• My Pechay/Bok Choi

    So I accidentally ripped the upper stem of my pechay plant a week ago and I don’t know what it’s doing now. Should I just remove it and replant another one in? I searched on the net but wanted to confirm with those who have experience with planting. It’s in a hydroponic system, so it constantly has around 25 ml of water under it that is mixed with nutrient solution. It gets 16 hours of light a day.

  • I'm fighting a losing battle, how do I save this rubber plant?

    Thjs American rubber plant is about 3 years old. There's actually two in the pot. Started off strong, had a phase where it lost a lot of leaves, but it bounced back. Recently it has just not grown at all. Not a new leaf in a year? The underside of many of the leaves have this mottled brown colour.

    It was in a full shade window (north facing, maybe an hour of direct sun in the morning) so I moved it to a sunnier spot (east facing, 4hrs of direct sun in the morning) and this is a warmer room as it's the washer drier room. Repotted it to check the roots and the roots look quite strong, to my inexperienced eyes at least. Normal potting soil.

    Advice I read said to really let it dry out before watering. Wait until the leaves turn papery. I did this but instead of going papery, 3 leaves went brown and fell off? On one of the plants, the stem looks shrivelled.

    It for about 6 months has tiny little green spikes where new growth would be, but they never grow into anything larger. After a few months some will go brown and fall off. New ones then form.

    What am I doing wrong?!

  • Ficus Benjamina looks like it’s wilting

    Hi all!
    I’m new to this plant and was following instructions on not watering it too often, and keeping it in indirect sunlight. Now I’m not sure what to do as it looks like it’s drying up. Pls help thanks! I’ve recently moved it outdoors with minimal sunlight as I was afraid it wasn’t getting sun indoors ;-;

  • Utility company strikes again in 5b

    Last year I had this leveled, seeded and pete mossed then the uc dug it up, twice. Dropped weed seed and hay and backfilled me with garbage and took my 2 yards of nursery top soil... So now it's june and I'm not sure what my options are. Is it too late to start and seed or should I just strip everything and start getting the soil ready for late summer?

  • Arrosage plante

    Hi everyone ! I’m trying to figure out why some of the leaves on my plant are turning yellow. I usually water it about once a week, but I’m not sure if that’s too much or not enough. It’s placed next to a window, so it gets light throughout the day. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks !!

  • Gardening product PSA

    Posting this just in case I can save a few fingers. I bought this gardening twist tie roll at Dollarama. I know that this is to be expected with cheap products but I just wanted to make a post about it. The blade on the packaging to cut it on it seems to be very dull and the green wire casing comes off really easily exposing the sharp wire. If you happen to get this product avoid using the blade included on the packaging, I cut my finger pretty bad and so easily when I had tried to pull to get it to cut the wire and the casing came off and went right into my finger. Be careful!!
