Home Depot Sod (success) For years and years I could NOT get grass to grow on this section of my front yard. There’s a decent slope to it and, since grass didn’t take, any heavy rain would wash out the mulch in my flower beds. I had a couple of days off in early May and unexpected rain delayed my mulch delivery. On the spur of the moment , I decided to throw some rolls of sod into the back of my minivan and put it down. I had no experience at all with sod, and think I got pretty lucky. But I can say, I watered it a TON for the first 2 weeks.
