• Birds of Paradise is healthy, but just cannot get it to be straight.

Is it because the leaves are bending toward the window? As you can see it gives out 2 -3 leaves during the Spring but I just don’t know how to secure it so it grows straight.

  • Should I be covering these?

Waiting for the greens to die back, but a fair amount of the onion is exposed. Cover or leave them be?

  • Grocery Store Find

I got this little finger jade at the grocery store for 1.99. It’s a nice addition to my front porch garden.

  • Is this utricularia bisquamata growing in my crappy biosphere?

I put some of my collected rain water and some soil from my carnivorous plants in a jar to make a kind of crappy biosphere and find out what was living in the water (not much apparently). I also put two seed stems from a utricularia bisquamata that’s growing in my plant pots. I thought maybe the seeds would grow but I seems the base of the stems i plucked are actually growing?! There’s little

Might unseal it if the utricularia is actually growing and add some cyclops and daphnia.

  • San Francisco succulent?

Seen mostly in gardens in and around San Francisco, sometimes staying bunched and low and occasionally on a taller stalk.

  • What's attacking my basil?

Was gifted a basil seedling and it's doing well; lightly watered every day, kept in pot with drainage and placed on a covered balcony where it gets direct sunlight in the evenings. But I keep finding leaves eaten and some small white spots on the leaves (they do not come off) despite not seeing any pests around. Help is appreciated, I don't want to lose it!
