  • Tiny brown spots on philodendron birkin

My philodendron birkin has these tiny brown spots. What is this? What do I need to do?
She gets watered about once per week and she’s facing a north facing window.

  • Advice on gravel install

I am wanting to make this area all gravel on the side of our home. My plan is to use it as a golf cart parking area then build a cover over it. This area gets almost no sun and has turned to mostly dirt. It has been needing grading as it doesn’t flow the best away from the home.
Should I grade it first before fabric? I want to put about 3-4inches of gravel. Should I remove that much dirt and grade it while removing or just grade it then place the gravel?
Thanks for any advice, I just want it done right the first time.

  • What causes these tiny needles? (Eastern Washington)

I live in a dry area of Washington State and everyone in the family has been getting these tiny needle/spikes in their feet when going barefoot in the yard. I believe we get more from dry/bare areas of the lawn but not sure. The kids have a couple dozen in each foot and they hurt because they catch on fabric and are like needles when brushed against . I’d like to know what is causing these and how I can prevent them.

Also, if you know to remove these more efficiently than tweezers, please let me know.

  • How best to prep my soil for future sod/trees/garden?

Hello r/landscape friends. I've just recently finished putting up my backyard fence and now the next big task I want to work on is getting grass/sod placed. However, that will likely have to wait until next year due to cost and my available time.

I would like to do what I can now to make that future step easier and/or more successful! I've been trying to keep it fairly clear of large weeds, but other than that is there anything you would recommend I do to prepare the soil for future grass, trees, gardens, etc? (I will be placing a sprinkler system before getting the grass in as well).

  • What is this on my tomato plant?

I noticed some white/yellow spots on my tomato plants yesterday. I did a (too) quick google search and then sprayed all the plants with baking soda + water (1T for 1gallon). Today half of my tomato plants look like this.

  • Thoughts on how I can improve?

I’m pretty happy with where the lawn is, but always want to improve if possible. What are your thoughts? 6A.
