What causes these tiny needles? (Eastern Washington) I live in a dry area of Washington State and everyone in the family has been getting these tiny needle/spikes in their feet when going barefoot in the yard. I believe we get more from dry/bare areas of the lawn but not sure. The kids have a couple dozen in each foot and they hurt because they catch on fabric and are like needles when brushed against . I’d like to know what is causing these and how I can prevent them. Also, if you know to remove these more efficiently than tweezers, please let me know.
