  • Can anyone tell me what weed this is? (West Texas)

I believe it's nutsedge but just want to confirm before I spray anything on it. If not could anyone tell me what to use to get rid of it? I have quite a bit of it throughout my yard.

  • Weed ID

Can anyone help identify this, what I assume to be, weed/clover and suggestions for eradicating it? I’ve tried hand picking it but it seems the more I do the more it spreads. My next step is to try burning it off. I’m trying to avoid pesticides if possible due to the dog but I’m not opposed if it’s the best option. Recommendations for a good pesticide would be appreciated too. Thanks.

  • How deep should I dig for a single-layer retaining wall?

I read somewhere that there should be at least 3” of paver base, but this was a guide for stacked retaining wall 3-4 pavers high.

  • My neighbor gave me this cutting, what is it ?

I received this cutting a couple weeks ago as a vine from my neighbor. It looked like the vine of a pothos (which she told me it was, a neon pothos) and I cut it up and water propagated it. It grew long roots in about a week, and I potted it up a few days ago. Since then there’s been new growth, and I decided to look up what a neon pothos needs for watering requirements. It doesn’t look anything like a neon pothos! Does anyone know what it is? I chopped up the vine and propagated it as a pothos, and it did well. I guess I was following the wrong plant care instructions but it still thrived somehow

  • How to space trees and shrubs?

I've got (in the order pictured) a black currant, swiss stone pine, sitka rose, Wyman lilac, Red Twig Dogwood, and big bang Spirea for my yard. I want them to grow in full and give some privacy to my front yard but I don't want them too close together. This is the layout I'm thinking, feedback? It's my first year doing any sort of landscaping/gardening. Thanks!

  • Tree in yard

Tree has branch that hangs into my fenced in yard, I want to know what it is so I know if its safe to be around my two dogs. If its not safe I'll cut it, but if it is safe it provides some nice shade for my dogs. For geographic reference I'm in north dakota, up near Canada.
