  • Is there any risk with leaving a garden hose anti freeze faucet open 24/7 for a automatic timer for irrigation?

Looking to hook up a automatic irrigation system and wondering what kind of risks are involved with leaving the faucet open all the time

  • How can I propagate this unique larkspur that volunteered in my yard?

I love this flower pattern. Tons of these have volunteered but all the other plants have mostly solid, or sort of gradient flowers. I’d love to get more plants with flowers like this next season and beyond.

They are easy to collect seeds from, but that’s probably not a guarantee. I’m a total novice at cuttings, I’ve had 2 successes with a Penstemon. Please, help me!

I think it’s Delphinium Barbeyi, but I’m not 100% sure.

  • Poked in the eye by this plant

NSW, Australia. As the title says - last November I turned around and got a nasty poke in the eye by this thing. It was irritated for a few days and sensitive to light. I used antiseptic eyedrops from the chemist when it happened. It’s still giving me trouble, it feels like there’s a tiny prickle in there when I pull my eyelid tight and roll my eye. Anyone who’s had something similar happen, feel free to chime in! I’m going back to the optometrist on Monday for a specialist referral.

  • Went on a business trip, came back and my lupine is in very poor shape

For context, my gf did come over and water the plants every other day which is how frequently I typically water. But this looks like dehydration to me, or perhaps sun stress. Ive moved the plant to a location where it will only get indirect sunlight, and plan on doing a heavy watering every night.
I live in a location w 0% humidity and typically windy, has been in the mid 80s during the day.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • What are these dark lines?

I bought these about a week ago from Bunnings. Haven’t repotted yet and I’ve noticed the dark lines on the plant. Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about?
I’ve watered once since I got it. Has plenty of light
