• Can anyone confirm if this is a type of Cucamelon? Found it growing unexpectedly in my herb pot

I noticed this little plant sprouting alongside my basil a few weeks ago. At first I thought it was a weed, but now it's flowering and producing these tiny watermelon-looking fruits. Curious if it's a cucamelon or something else?

Appreciate any insights! Posting here because this sub always nails it

  • Update: my tomato that sprouted out of my compost bin hole over winter is now flowering.

Best looking tomato in my yard; there’s actually two of them; one on the opposite side of the bin; I’m just going to let them do their thing and see what happens. I literally have not watered or done a single thing to it besides giving it a stake today for extra support.

  • Help

Removed about 3-4 inches of rock from this flower bed. Tilled the dirt and more rock came up with it....will leaving this rock hurt the plants (perennials, grasses, etc) or benefit them? There's probably an inch of rock on top mixed with the dirt. What should I do?

  • Opuntia macrocentra turning yellow

This cactus is native to where I live (New Mexico). I watered it when I planted it last fall, but not since then since native plants should be able to persist in the environment without human intervention. It sits near a cherry plum, but gets direct light during the day although I’m not sure how much.

    Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

  • I've never grown anything and plan to plant some gingers.

Is it better to put them in water like this to wait for bigger sprouts, or should I plant them directly on the ground right now? I heard that ginger is aggressive and invasive like mint. Does it take over my garden if I grow them directly onto the garden? Or should I keep them in a tray?

  • Reseeding after over fertilizing accidentally

The other day I made a post about my over fertilizing fiasco and how I killed a lot of my lawn, my question is how long should I wait to dig up the spots and reseed and topcoat? (any other tips are appreciated!)
