• Screening my own topsoil (UK)

I am in the process of screening the rear of my garden, it has a large amount of gravel, both large and small stones. After screening to 3mm, some of the smaller stones remain. I intend to use this for both my lawn and for planting a bordering hedge. Should I proceed with this or is it best to buy some fresh topsoil and dispose of what I have?

  • Help with passion fruit plant!

We recently got a passion fruit plant. We are taking care of it, and we even cross pollinate the flowers when they come out so there’s a better chance of them getting pollinated. I understand the passion fruit will eventually grow out of the flower, but the flowers are looking almost dead after (like the one on the right). Is this normal? We water every 2 days and gets a lot of sun. Can we change anything? Thank you!

  • ID help please - need to see how to handle cutting and trimming

Any thoughts on what this is? It was a gift from a neighbor and had small reddish flowers when we got it. It’s a bit lanky and I was planning to take some cuttings so we could keep some around. I’m wondering if a haircut will allow it to regrow from the cut spots lower down. Lives in a window sill so it may not be the best spot but I hate to see it go. Thank you!

  • Hens And Chicks Help

I just bought this plant and was wondering what the best way to help it thrive. It doesn't seem like it was taken good care of and the lighting in the plant store didn't seem ideal.

I was planning to let it acclimate over a week (per the FAQ) and then place it outside next to an Eastern Prickly Pear I've got that's doing fairly ok. I'm in NYC and according to PictureThis, it should be ok during the NE winters?

Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

  • How do I help my beans!

My beans were doing great. And then two days ago this started happening to the leaves (sunburnt? I’m a novice and started my seeds indoors and transplanted, which I have now learned not to do). All of my flowers are falling off. What do I do? Cut off the dying bits, let it be, re-sow directly outdoors and say a prayer to the jolly green giant? HELP!
