  • Is this supposed to happen?

I've had this plant for around 6 months and it's gone from red to brown. I've watered the soil to keep it damp, but not soaked, the whole time and it's got decent sunlight. Is this normal? Is there any way to save it?

  • Is my spinach bolting?

    1. Is my spinach bolting? Some plants that have been harvested from are starting to have leaves that are more long/arrow-shaped and crinkled. A couple look like they are developing mini florets at the centre (not big, maybe the size of a pea). The plants themselves arent growing super tall, still around the same height of the rest of the spinach aside from the longer leaf shape. I've tried some of the leaves and they seem to have the usual bitterness of spinach, but not excessive or inedible.

    2. If it is bolting, I'm guessing it's early stages. What is the best course of action? Should I harvest all of those leaves now before they get bitter, and expect that those plants are done? If the plants are done, do I just pull them out of the bed and replant something else?

  • Looking for advice

We’re first time home owners and looking for advice on filling the area next to the new concrete.

The concrete is 5” deep. We were thinking of layering top soil, then 0.5” of sand, and then 2” of decorative rocks. Would this allow water slowly go to the earth?

  • Grass ID - Zone 8

Is it possible to tell if this is common or hybrid Bermuda?

If common, is seeding more of a possibility than if hybrid? I have a few gaps to fill. Tried topdressing and filled in quite a bit but there are some stubborn spots I’d like to try and seed, if possible.

  • Dragon Tree Bottom Leaves Yellowing and Falling Off

I can't seem to make this dragon tree (dracaena) happy so hoping for your help!

I gave it a good watering a few weeks ago, so the soil was damp for a while but the bottom leaves started to yellow like this and fall off.

I let the soil dry out completely, and the leaf tips started to turn brown, so I gave it a tiny bit of water, and the yellowing and leaf falling is happening again.

Top half of the plant looks happy and green. Advice appreciated!

  • Best way to save bonsai

I picked up this Zelkova bonsai today for £10, due to its bad condition. I did a scratch test and its trunk is still green.

I repotted it when I got home as it was in completely dry hard soil. is there any tips on how to help it recover?
