• What species of jade?

I've had this for about 4 years, recently repotted. Does anyone know what type of jade it is? Can't really find the specific type anywhere.

  • felt sad for the unlucky seedlings after thinning the garden,,, so to the neighbors they go!

one of the perks of being the only one in the neighborhood with garden boxes is getting to share with the neighbors!! not just harvest surplus but seedling surplus too!! these were some green bean, okra, and cucumber seedlings i gave to my neighbor who only had tomatoes in their little fence garden this year :)

  • Recommendations for awkward backyard hill

In the midst of planning how I want to tackle this project, essential broken into 2 parts: the top and the hillside.

Currently, the top has flat stones that the previous owner put in straight into the dirt, so there’s weeds and grass growing in between. What would you recommend I put in between these gaps when I lay the stones back down? I plan on getting them out, re-leveling the dirt and put a barrier down. Like pea gravel or something else?

Secondly, the hillside is a pain to mow since I used a rider. I’m looking for creative ideas of what to do decorative wise. Thought of doing similar to the top, I took out big rocks the previous owner had, going to refill the holes with dirt and smooth it out and maybe put some decorative stone covering the hillside, but not sure how that would fair with them rolling down via gravity. Any solutions?

Super new to landscaping. Thanks in advance

  • Home Depot Snake Plant

I brought this one home from Home Depot today, she’s about 2ft tall and in a 10in pot (I know I know—no big box stores, but she was only $20). No personal watering habits but soil she came in looks *very* damp. Pot has drainage holes. She will live by a west facing window. Can I repot her tonight? Or should I wait a few weeks until she acclimates? Does the whole “use a pot only slightly larger than the roots” apply to snake plants? I feel like snake plant roots usually aren’t very large/deep/wide. Grateful for any advice!!

  • Not sure what these flowers are

Not the best specimens, but I hope the picture is good enough. They're growing outside our apartment, and we want to know if we should keep our cat from eating them during his outside time.
