  • Mystery plant?

My son's daycare sent him home with two seeds in a bag for mothers day. Didn't say what they were and I asked his teacher and she said "I think they're blue flowers" it loves water. It's been on my porch and we've been having rain every day this week and it's growing like crazy. Like half an inch to an inch a day it feels like. Any ideas why this is?

  • Paver advice needed (drainage)

Hello. I’m about to have this path done with Belgard mega arbel. The old pavers are probably 14 years old and were all cracked up in this area and falling apart. You can see I removed a bunch of them already. I’m worried about this low point between the patio behind the house and the slope up the hill. We just had a heavy rain in this picture and we’ll typically have standing water about 1”-2” deep there for maybe a day. During a heavy rain water flows right to left in this area as it moves from the back center of the house to the ditch in the front yard. If this path didn’t exist it would probably pool to the right of the path a little bit and eventually flow around the other side of the house. Point is I’m not worried about the basement flooding. I just don’t know how to put down pavers that aren’t submerged after heavy rains or if they’ll last in this condition. Thoughts?

  • Will this work for seedlings? I'm in Minnesota zone 5a. I used quality garden mix that I didn't sieve. There are some small twigs and rocks. Can I still get good results?

And only one from this plant. I need to fertilize more or they just don't get enough sun in the backyard.

  • Help! Leaves keep breaking off, unsure of plant type and not sure what's wrong!

Hiya! First time poster, this is my new succulent lovingly named Margaret. I bought her 3 days ago, she's been watered once since purchase and there's no stagnant water underneath. She's in a good, sunny spot on my kitchen window sill where there's afternoon/evening sun. I also have 8 other plants and the rest of my succulents are thriving in this same spot but her lovely little pointy branches keep breaking off and I'm not sure why. She's lost 3 in total and the snapping has happened on 4. I can't seem to identify the type of succulent despite researching. I really want to stop this from happening so any advice is greatly appreciated!

  • It’s just so… Hairy

I know we’ve been seeing a lot of mulberries and blackberry bushes up lately, and this looks similar and has similar albeit smaller berries when they come, but it’s just so hairy. It grows almost everywhere in the woods near me. Is it worth trying to beat the critters to some of the berries?

  • Plant in my parents garden

So they have this beautiful plant in their garden but have no idea what it is and it just seems to have come out of nowhere. It smells lovely and almost has a lemony scent. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

  • Mountain Laurel

Hi we just planted this mountain laurel a few weeks ago. It has these brown areas on the leaves. We planted 2 others of different varieties. This is in south central PA. We fertilized it and water when there is no rain. It is in a morning sun/semi shade area.
