• Houseplant DIY cross-country moving setup

After reading through some old posts about moving houseplants, I came up with an idea!

We are moving cross-country next week and did not want to get rid of our plants. This will be coming with us in the back of our SUV. Pending I don't hit some insane potholes (looking at you, Ohio), I think this is a safe setup! Along the way, we can take it to the hotel or set it outside for some sun while we stop for meals.

  • What is this?

Growing in the California Bay Area, that soil is unusual for here so I'm assuming it's being specifically grown.

  • ID help requested!

Recently got this little guy. Tag says ‘haworthia’ but I couldn’t find any that looked like it. Is it like, some kind of snake plant or aloe? Thank you!

  • Snake plant curling down?

I’ve seen people talk about their snake plant curling inward, but never down. My zeylanica seems otherwise healthy, I don’t see any other signs of thrips. The only other thing I can think of is improper watering? Nutrient deficiency? Idk yall

  • What is going on with my zz plant?

I just transplanted it two weeks ago and these leaves started becoming like this. After that, I sprayed some insecticide because I saw some catterpillars chewing on the leaves and I plan to move it indoors. What can I do to stop this?

PS I also only water when the soil is dry. After transplanting, I positioned it in a place with lots of indirect light. It’s generally humid where I live.

  • Yard tips

We are nearly done renovating our home and want to turn our attention to the yard. I wanted to repair and modify the in ground sprinklers before attempting regular watering so I could schedule them to turn on around 6am or so. Given the state of the grass/weeds I’m wondering what the best approach would be to get it healthy again. Thanks for any advice in advance.

  • Should I split or is it fine?

I got this little guy two years ago and (i think) he’s doing great, but the shoot on the right has gotten bigger/longer these last few weeks.
I’m still real new to this, is this something that needs to be split, or is it good to leave and just let him continue growing?
Other advice is great as I’m still learning how to properly take care of it!
