• Seed Storing

Hi all, this will be my first year collecting my own seeds. I planted a ton of native wildflowers in my front yard and have been collecting some of their seed pods (while leaving some behind to spread for next year). I also vegetable garden, and if all goes great I’m going to want to collect their seeds as well.
All of that to say, I’m going to have a lot of seeds after this season.

Anyway, my question is, how is everyone storing their seeds? Have you found that any specific techniques work better than others? Best ways to organize them, or make sure they last until next season. And most importantly, anything to absolutely avoid.

(Picture is unrelated, but it’s a super tiny bee and grasshopper hanging out in our clarkia)

  • Wild flower in Indiana - need help identifying

I planted some wildflower seeds last fall and again this spring. Many of these purple flowers have just popped up, and I don’t have the seed pack anymore that the seeds came in to help me identify them. I’ve been trying to look them up. Could they be larkspur?

  • Black dots on creeping jenny.

I just bought this plant so I don’t know how much water or light it was getting. I would told it could be a fungal infection but every kind of infection I’ve looked up hasn’t resembled this. What is it?

  • How to kill *some* ivy

Please don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger.

My wife likes the way the ivy on this tree looks, but doesn't like the ivy bed at the tree's foot (it's unruly and overrun by grass). At her suggestion, I put mulch over the bed, which the ivy and grass got through in a matter of days.

My question: if I treat the stuff poking above the mulch with spectracide, will it kill the ivy above it on the tree?

Ultimately, she would like to have the ivy on the tree and flowers at the base of the tree.

    Thank you!

  • Satin photos yellowing :(

My Satin Pothos' leaves have started yellowing randomly about 1-2 months ago, she was doing so well.

Water her about every 8 days, soil seems to take a while to dry out.

She is indoors, on top of a bookshelf near the ceiling about a meter away from a window
