• Ohhh no found my first bug, what is it? Do I need to freak out?

Very tiny so I’m not sure how well you’ll be able tell in the picture. Just taking my silver squills out to repot and noticed some of these small bugs crawling out of the bottom. The only bug I’ve dealt with around plants and gnats so I’m a little nervous right now.
Both are planted in terracotta pots, and I only water my silver quills when I feel their leaves are getting thinner, and not firm. One I had right in an east facing window and the other was in a south. When I lift each up I see one or two of these bugs crawling around on the plate

  • DIY Sprinkler Leak Around PVC Riser

    Hi all,

I built this diy Sprinkler system and noticed I was getting dramatically less than advertised range on my MP2000. Took a look and noticed a leak around the circled area.

It seems like water is just getting trapped in that little section and unable to clear.

I tightened the PVC riser just to be sure (no parts for a rubber gasket) and still have the same problem.

I put a hose pressure regulator of 40-50psi on, the hose is about 50 foot. I adjusted the sprinkler head for max settings. I tried another sprinkler head, PVC riser and head. Same issue. I debated a longer PVC riser (think it's currently 1 and 1/12 inch) but doubt a longer riser would resolve the problem.

I'm getting about 17 feet now from my sprinkler (a bit short but I can live with it). The problem seems to be this leak though if I keep chaining more to this sprinkler.

Is there something I'm missing? All these parts are brand new.

What’s going on here? Central CA. All zones are watered equally but this patch of grass is not doing well.

    All help is appreciated!

  • My first hollyhock after 3 years of only foliage

    Hi all,

I just wanted to share my excitement about the hollyhocks I grew from seed 3 years ago, that are finally blooming now. I only have a 4m² balcony, so it didn't have much space, but it's finally blooming and it's so pretty

  • I thought this was a Rhody at first... But it has red berries and no flowers. Compact low bush. Seattle
