  • My first harvest

It's meager, but I wanted to share my first ever harvest: 2 green beans and a zucchini. I'm waiting on my first cucumber, okra and watermelon but I have a lot more beans growing so I'm pretty excited!

  • Sugar Snap Peas

Novice gardener here, and my first time growing any kind of peas. I just planted a bunch of seeds in two rows, but I should probably thin them—how much space should I leave between them?

I have some 4’ bamboo stakes for support. Should I use one for each plant and tie the pea plant to it?

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Looking for suggestion

California central coast. Looking for low maintenance and budget friendly. The house came with lots of rock in the front yard. Wanting to add a bit of color. Not sure if the route I should take.

  • My ficus elastica belize living her best life after this sub informed me she would like to experience hurricane-like conditions

Now when she needs to be watered I turn on the shower and give her some hearty shakes. I've also acclimated her to more direct sunlight, since I read here she would like it. She's *finally* growing new leaves after owning her for 7 months!

  • Letting the weeds take over

In Melbourne, Australia. Had seeded couch when I moved into my new build and either existing weeds or new stuff has flown in and just taken over.

I've now decided to embrace it, so recently I've been mulching it when mowing and trying to encourage it to spread. I might like to overseed it, but not sure what it is. Might be some kind of clover?
