• Look! A flower!

Im a new plant parent. I usually dont keep plants for long because they wouldn't survive . However, I learned a little more patience and stopped giving up so easily. I am proud. I made a plant happy

  • gorging myself with cherries this week

    Southern ontario, Canada. Tart cherries.

I'm sucking these guys down the hatch like crazy this week!! I usually always miss the harvest time since it's only a few days but I saw some 'ready' today and couldn't help myself. I've been going out to my trees with this bowl twice a day to pick the best of the bunch and then snack on them. Like giant juicy sour patch kids. Yesterday I ate so many I fell asleep holding my empty bowl of cherry pits.

Checked on my pear trees too, they won't fruit this year but they have some promising growth!

  • Why isn’t my pear seedling growing?

Ok I just can’t figure this one out. I started this pear tree inside from seed and it germinated back in March maybe even earlier I can’t quite remember. And it grew inside quite well to the size it is now. Then I hardened it off and planted in a pot with good soil outside in April. Since then it hasn’t grown at all and is now getting yellowing of leaves. It’s had lots of sun and I’ve always checked the moisture of the soil and watered accordingly. Any ideas???

  • Quinclorac DF vs Concentrate.

I see the Quinclorac 75DF 1lb jar for around $60, I also see an 18.92% concentrate (which the label says is 1.5lbs of active ingredient) for around $26. Am I missing something?

  • Had a forgotten sweet potato in my pantry

It had sprouted and put out a few leaves. Felt sorry to throw them away so I tried putting them in soil. Now they look like this.

But sure, actual houseplants that I pay money for love to die just for the fun of it.

  • Should these go in soil?

I just learned that I can grow my romaine stumps but I’m not sure whether to keep them in water or plant them. Next steps?

  • Lawn grubs?

I’ve put Acelepryne out the last two seasons so was hoping it’s not lawn grub but open to suggestions.
