  • Accidental Wheat!! How do I get the seeds?

Hello friends!!! I just found this growing on the side of my house, I'm super excited but I know absolutely nothing about growing/harvesting wheat. I want to harvest a little bit of it just for fun and use the rest to plant again next year, is it too early for either of those things?

  • I put it on the highest point in my house above any window… it’s enough light right?!

Honestly, is there any thought process behind these kinds of questions?!

  • Do I have to get a mower with a bag or only mow when it’s not wet?

Raking up the clippings is very time consuming and there’s always these lines in my lawn. They’ll go away after a while but man is it annoying.

    Any tips?

  • When to apply this fertilizer?

I applied a pre-emergent about 9 weeks ago. My yard started dark green and has faded to now needing a kick. It’s tolerating the increasingly hot days very well, and I am staying on top of watering. If I want to level in July/August and then oversees in the fall, is applying this nowish a good idea? What advice do you have?

  • Packing peanuts in the ground

I found these around a house while trenching. No lines cross here, and the gutter system isn't connected. It appears to be about one foot deep and one foot out of packing peanuts along this entire garage wall. Does anyone know what this is for? My boss told me to hold of on finishing my work on it.

  • what’s causing these brown spots?

My pink wandering dude is growing well but many of the leaves have brown spots. I have it under a grow light. Is this over or under watering? Burning from too much light? A pest?

  • Mystery Melon Identified

I planted an agave and topped off the hole with some compost. A couple weeks later I noticed a melon was growing, and ehhhh... I decided to let it roll. Today I spotted two small watermelons growing. The plant has 8' long vines at this point, but I'm glad to have an identity because it could've been anything for all the melons we eat. What's sorta funny is I've got another watermelon growing just a few feet away that I intentionally planted, and it's struggling to find its feet. All hail the compost volunteers! lol
