• help for florist kalanchoe

hi all! i have an orange florist kalanchoe that i got from the grocery store sometime around Halloween last year. it had orange flowers and big leaves. then the flowers came off, but the big leaves stayed. now it’s looking like this.

i water when soil is dry and this is about how much sun it gets, pretty indirect. this is in Virginia, where right now we’re entering summer- so very hot and humid outside.

is my plant healthy and just in dormancy?

She finds grass boring so instead she cultivated native ground cover (OR) for her yard and I now wish this was ~the way~

Oh and it’s pillow soft to walk on

  • Got my first plant, string of pearls!

I have tried to keep plants before and it has never worked out, so I'm hoping this time is different. First step in my journey of plant owner, wish me luck!

  • Narrow waste of space

Down the side of my house is a narrow space between the house and garden wall. What can I do with it?

  • Why is it dieing

We repotted this little fella into new, grittier soil (a mixture of succulent soil, perlite and lava stones, roughly 1:1 ratio). After that she started rapidly dropping leaves. The ones that are still attached slowly start turning yellowish translucent. We tried gradually exposing her to more light, but that doesn't seem to be doing her any good. Are the roots potentially damaged? Or could it be the result of over watering before she was repotted. I didn't notice any sign's of rot when we repotted her. Should we pull her out again and check for rot? Maybe somebody has advice for us. Also maybe somebody could ID?

  • Should I move it to a pot?

It’s basil. I give it water whenever the soil is dry. It gets direct sunlight

  • I'm not doing anything for Father's Day, so here's some radishes I picked this morning.

First harvest is always wonky in Michigan...
