  • How do I stay on top of dog strangling vine?!

Hoping someone has some tips for getting rid of dog strangling vine in my garden beds? I pull them out (root and everything) every couple days, it is so hard to keep on top of. Any recommendations for suppressing weed growth? I have been told that hay might help, but would love any advice. Thank you!!

  • They make great desk plants

Bought this happy bean plant at the local grocery store 2.5 years ago. It was practically dead and no bigger than my finger. I had no idea what it was, but the great and powerful Google informed me what it was, and spit out these gems. "Theygreat desk plants because of their compact size", and "they rarely get bigger than 12". And now there's this.

  • What is this? Located in the Midwest.

This was here when we bought our house. There is wire around the base, so I'm guessing it was planted on purpose and not a weed. It's getting rather large and I'm not sure how to handle it. Thank you for any help or advice in advance!

  • Fittonia help saving

I bought a Fittonia a while back but I think initially it was receiving too little light and started dying. By the time I moved it to a brighter spot it really started dying quickly

All I have left was this stem with a solid root foundation that I submerged in water over the winter.

Over the last few weeks, it actually put out new leaves

When should I plant it into soil? Is there anything special prep to do before potting it?

    Thank you

  • Help- is it Lilac Blight?

Hi, I have this Lilac plant that I'm guessing is many years old. Last year the leaves started getting brown spots on them and then shriveled/dried up. I had read via Google that it was recommended to remove all the branches, etc. that were effected, so I did. It was also suggested to spray a copper fungicide on the plant early in the spring and I did that too. Things seemed to be going OK but I looked again the other day and saw more brown spots and yellowing. Also while this image doesn't show it, some leaves are curling up. Is there anything I can do to help it out?

Also, not sure if it helps. I live in Missouri, zone 6b. We've had reasonable rainfall, so I have not independently watered it. It also gets full sun, and only has another lilac bush next to it (who also has similar issues).

    Thanks!
