• Squash is taking over…

My yellow squash plants getting larger (yay!!) but their leaves are shading out my sweet peppers. I'm worried my peppers aren't getting enough sun to grow well. I tried adding a small trellis I had on hand to block a leaf and another small stake on another. Another idea I had was to put a fence type thing between or cages around the sweet peppers.

Can I strategically trim some of those big squash leaves to let more light reach my peppers without harming the squash plant? Has anyone done this successfully, and if so, how much can I safely cut back? I want both plants to thrive! Many thanks in advance!

  • I'm a terrible plant parent. How do I fix this?

A lot went wrong here, how can I save her? I just soak her in water every now and then and she gets afternoon light from a west-facing window.

  • Silverline succulent

Soooo recently I’ve had one my plants for three months and unfortunately I think I overwatered her and that’s why some of her leaves are brown and overtime she got these white spots on her leaves, is she going to be okay what should I do?? And she’s inside an old pot but at the bottom are self draining holes and I will eventually get another pot I only water her like a every week and a half but maybe that’s too much im not sure and she sits in the corner of my window with plenty of sunlight.

  • Semi-circle dead area

Any ideas as to what could cause this dying semi-circular patch of grass? Located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I’ve lived at this location for 2 years and it was here when I moved in.

  • Viral? Am I cooked?

I hadn’t looked at my colocasias for a while and discovered a really bad mite infestation. One of the leaves looks like this now and I think it’s viral but I can’t tell. Any ID or is this a burn it and start over situation?

Grown outdoors in part shade with direct light for two-ish hours and watered every few weeks (the trays keep them wet for a long time)

  • Do I just use sand?

The middle part of my yard sinks in a bit and water collects there especially after we get a bit of rain, it doesn’t help that the kids like to use a slip n slide during the summer but is there anything I can do to level it out? I feel like sand might help but that’s a big divot. Any advise?

  • Found in a park in Northern California

All of the ones I saw looked like small trees. Maybe 6-8ft tall. No flowers. Anyone know what it is?
