• Help with design please!

Can anyone point me in the right direction with what I can plant here? I was thinking Queen palms, spread out every 10 ft or so, and maybe a smaller palm breed in between, but unsure if queens can be planted near a retaining wall. I’m seeing mixed reviews, and the landscape companies here want a $10k min before they even consult with you. I was hoping to cut out the middle man and just have someone plant them for me.

There is about 4-5ft of space behind the pool, before the wall. We had to rip out all the mature trees from the previous owner, which is why we have one sad tree remaining, that I’m hoping to work with, but not a deal breaker to get rid of it. They planted date palms or pineapple palms, not sure the correct term, right near retaining wall, which I believe have an invasive root system and the trunk gets wide over time, knocking walls over.

Anyway, any input would be amazing thank you!

  • Looks like a Giant Hogweed?

I found it on my walk. Near a river. Around 6 feet long of not more.

I'm not 100% sure and would like to see more opinions. Any ideas on what to do now? Should I report it? Where in the UK?

  • My canna lily bent in half

It was starting to bloom, and I guess the flower was too heavy for it. So what should I do now?

The pot does have drainage, I water it very often

This plant is on my deck in Central Florida, facing the west. It is under a screened in porch but seemed to be doing well with light

  • What are these?

New vegetable gardener here. What are these little green bugs all over my dill plant, and how do I get rid of them?

  • clear/crystalline webbed stuff in natural yard

Yard is pretty natural right now and working on establishing a native garden, so a lot of activity and turning of the soil. Noticed this kind of clear/crystalline webbing in a few spots. Bug? Animal? Alien? None of the above?

    Help!

  • “Glazing” on old Thanksgiving cactus?

I recently found a very old looking Thanksgiving cactus at a thrift store. It’s a little beat up but seems to be healthy overall. There is this totally bizarre thing going on with many of the leaves though, and I have no idea what it is. I’ve looked at pictures of sunburn, pest damage, and diseases and nothing seems to match. It literally looks like areas of the plant are glazed or have a brown oil slick on them. If you look closely you can see patterns that don’t seem uniform like you would expect to see with sunburn. Any clues at all would be appreciated. It doesn’t seem to be hurting the plant I’m just stumped.

I can’t speak to previous care regarding watering as I just got it but again it seems healthy minus some cosmetic issues. It is in a pot with drainage. Light-wise it currently lives outside in bright shade.
