New homeowner looking for advice Live in Souther California, in the dryer parts, not coastal but not the dessert either. I have never had a lawn before so learning as I go. Just bought a new home and want to put a lawn in the backyard for my kids to play. Half the yard was almost all dirt and random weeds and the other half that you see here has the remnants of grass. My current plan is dig up the entire area and take out everything but the soil and start fresh. I have ordered a soil test to see what nutrients I will need to add. From there, seed with Bermuda hybrid and follow online guides as I go. Anything I am missing? Any advice? I dont know what I dont know so not sure what to even ask 🙃.
