• Emerald arborvitae - salvageable?

Planted these emerald green arborvitae last fall. Got them from Costco for $40 each.

The one on left was wind burnt facing western winds. Any salvaging this? Or do I wait until Costco stocks them again this fall and replace it?

    Located in central Iowa.

  • Basil not growing for three months

It’s getting direct and strong sunlight, we water it often but only lately started watering every day. Repotted it a few times from small pot to big pot and back out of panic. What should I do to help it grow?

  • What type of soil do I have?

Hello everyone, newbie gardener here. I removed some sod from my backyard for my first garden. I noticed my soil is very gravelly, with lots of tiny rocks. It doesn’t look like any type of soil I’ve seen before. What kind of soil do I have? Is it silty?
And should I keep the small rocks in there or should I remove them?

Didn't realize what I was walking through until someone commented on my Instagram post... It's been a few hours, don't think I'm poisoned

  • Is this Melon Spurge dying?

My husband (bless his heart) has been trying to get into the hobby with me and show his support. In doing so, he bought this melon spurge in this condition.

Can it be saved? It has one rather noticeable hole and a good amount of browning to it.
