  • What’s wrong with my bamboo?

What’s wrong with my bamboo ? Can I save it? It’s sitting in water and I change water once a week and have added peroxide. Sitting near a window with bright indirect light.

  • My tiny sedum dasyphyllum minor leaf props are growing flowers - is this normal?!

As title implies, these leaf prop attempts (included ruler for scale) have sprouted tiny flowers. They were propped about 3 weeks ago, I thought the bits coming out were plantlets until this morning the top one opened into a flower!! Didn’t realise this happens, none of my other succ props are doing this. Should I do anything differently, like cut the flowers so it has more chance/energy to grow an actual plant? Or once the flowers dies/drops will a plant still grow? Or maybe just pollinate them and see if I get seeds?! It’s a cute, happy surprise I guess!

  • Is there any hope?

I have this pilea which is on a shelf in our north faced bedroom, not direct sunlight, but a lot of light specially during the last hours of the day. However we live in Madrid which is quite hot (our house has been 27-31C) and very very dry (around 30%). I have watered it with a bit more frequency because the air is so dry than I imagined the soil would be dry easily. It does have a hole for drainage, but I placed pebbles at the bottom. Maybe it does not get that much light in these last days because it’s so hot that our shutters are closed up to 80% of the window.

It was looking so pretty and within one week this started to happen.
