Recurrent problems

My grass has been an issue for the past 8 years. We hired a company who redid the whole thing about 6 years ago and the same year it died again: we had grubs. This year I started early, overseeded last fall, ants treatment, fertilizer, compost, shade mix for the patch), hire a company for the crabgrass and weed control. I dethatch, aerated, etc. I got a watering permit and I am water 2x a days for 30 minutes, one early in the morning.

What will usually happen is that when the weather start to get hot, and around July my grass turns all yellow and start to die. We have water restrictions and can’t water every day. The area around the tree doesn’t seem to grow.

I have a few questions:
- is it possible the trees take lots of nutrients which prevent the grass around from getting what it needs? Should I add iron or nitrogen?

- is it possible maybe I didn’t have the right type of seed before? Not much sun get to these parts due to the trees.

- I had grubs in the past and use to treat yearly. This year I messed up and thought it was included in my package but it’s only going to be in Fall. Anything I can do for now or it’s too late?

- I have a vitamix foodcycler and making a batch of compost with it. Can I use this to supplement the nutrients for the lawn?
