Need some help

Worked for a couple months to kill my front yard due to all the weeds. Figured I would completely start over. Sprayed weed killer twice a day until everything was dead and then planted Rye Grass. Everything was going fine and I was able to combat individual weeds one at a time but then I unfortunately left out of town for two months. Now the yard is completely overtaken again. Is there any way to quickly fix this? Do I need to kill and start over? Am I need of professional help? Any help is appreciated, thank you.
