Why is my grass yellowing? Utah Northern Utah Yard was very green and doing well after spring overseeding and fertilizing. This one section seems to be drying up. It is the most exposed to direct sun and does not get shade until about 7 pm, the rest of the lawn has periodic shade throughout the day. It has been pretty hot here in Utah, between 85-95 degrees for the past few weeks. No rain. It is a fescue lawn, watered every day for 15-20 minutes per section during hot days, if temp is below 80 I will skip watering. Could this be fungus? Disease? Overwatering? Not enough?
