What are these growing in my repaired north NJ (6b) lawn? Noob here so forgive me if I’m asking for help wrong. I recently had my sewer and water lines repaired. Contractors had to dig up the yard and wrecked my lawn which was heart breaking. I hired a landscape company to repair the lawn and do some other work. They laid down top soil grass seed and covered with straw. It’s been about a month and the grass is growing in great, but the spot they repaired is also growing tons of these guys. Any idea what they are and how I might get rid of them? My iPhone says California Mugwort, but that doesn’t seem right. Did they use tainted seed or soil? Appreciate any advice you can give.
