First Mow - New Sod (KBG in Alberta, Canada) I've laid fresh KBG sod, and stayed off it it for the required two weeks. It's well rooted now and looking great, the problem is that it rained (heavily) daily from day 12 to day 17 (today). The weather forecast shows evening showers every day this week. The grass is quit long in spots (6-8"), I'm concerned it will ge too tall if I wait another week + to give it 48 hours for to dry out before mowing. What's worse - giving it the first cut when still a little damp, or waiting too long (3.5 weeks) for the first cut? How would you play this?
