Soil Central Arizona. Half the front yard is a mix of some Bermuda and random greenery. The other half seemingly supports no life. Roots are from a large fruitless mulberry. It looks like there was once upon a time Fescue in this spot based on historical google street view. It’s completely bare now though, so I hand tilled a small area about 2 inches deep. The soil looks like ground beef. Planning to till to about 5” then add some compost and any pH fixings I’ll need. What would you all do?
