Help Needed Calibrating NorthStar Boom Sprayer for Target 6 Application
Hello everyone,
I’m in Augusta Georgia, with a Bermuda yard full of both goose grass and crab grass hoping someone can assist me with eliminating. I’m trying to determine the correct settings for a 31-gallon NorthStar boom sprayer with variable PSI control that I recently purchased. I want to make sure I’m mixing and applying the Target 6 herbicide at the proper rate.
According to the product label, Target 6 should be mixed at 1 to 2 ounces per gallon, and the application rate should be 2.5 gallons per 1,000 square feet.
Using Google Maps, I measured the area to be sprayed and it’s approximately 1.5 acres.
I’ve attached the spray calibration table I’ve been using to try and determine the appropriate PSI and travel speed settings, but I’ve had trouble working out the correct values to achieve the recommended application rate.
If anyone has experience with boom sprayers or can help interpret the chart, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
