• Received an order of cuttings!

Ordered some cuttings and individual plants from "LittleGardenSF" on Etsy and really happy with everything! Very excited to get these rooted and growing!

Ignore the Blueberry Bush that we're trying to save currently in the barrel pot, squirrels keep digging it up!

  • What is on my plant?

I noticed these brown specks (???) on my plant. They aren’t moving. Pot has drainage, watered once a week. Indoor plant getting about 3-4 hours of indirect light per day. Can somebody tell me what they might be? Do I have to kill it with fire? Thanks!

  • Visual Explanation of Strawberry Plant Decline:

I decided to make a concise version of my previous post. This is an easy way to understand how strawberry plant productivity slows over time. This is roughly what it would look like if you observed an individual strawberry plant in two different circumstances: One is left alone for a decade (unattended). One is given occasional fertilization and other plants are removed to prevent crowding as runners/roots develop (Maintained). Often strawberry patches are replaced or moved in order to maintain maximum efficiency, but I figure this chart can be used to help people decide how/when to do work on their patches.

  • My first one. Fingers crossed!

I think I might’ve put too many stones in, lifting the start height a bit too much. There’s moss in the back too - I sprayed with distilled water as I read that’s best for moss.

Layers are rocks, charcoal, sphagnum, soil then plants and moss.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

  • Is this Mycelium dangerous?

First of all, what is it?

Here's the story of how it began.

I have a moss terrarium starting in a jar. I also intended to eventually put some leafy growth in as well, but fertile soil is required for that, so for a month or two, I've been putting dead plant cuttings and other things in it to decompose and make the soil a little more rich. Anyway, one day I noticed a cotton like structure emerge, and suddenly, the day after the next, it had filled the entire jar. Up to the lid.

Is this dangerous to breath in? It has little blackish brown specks which might be spores of some kind. Should I dispose of this monstrosity that I've accidentally created, or is it relatively safe to keep in a glass terrarium?

  • Do I trim this or let it go?

It appears to be branches growing out from the bottom of the tree. Should I remove them or let the tree grow out some?
