  • My pechay plant

So I accidentally ripped the upper stem of my pechay plant a week ago and I don’t know what it’s doing now. Should I just remove it and replant another one in? I searched on the net but wanted to confirm with those who have experience with planting. It’s in a hydroponic system, so it constantly has around 25 ml of water under it that is mixed with nutrient solution. It gets 16 hours of light a day.

  • Why isn’t Japanese Camelia used more?

Full shade, beautiful foliage, gorgeous and insanely early flower, medium size and slow growing. What’s not to love? For the purpose they serve I’m surprised I don’t see them as often as Rhododendron, Andromeda, and similar broadleaf evergreens.
Before I start incorporating more of these into my design work, Is there a reason they’re not more common? Any common issues with them?

    Zone 6/7 ny/ct.

  • Shrivel-y. Too much water or not enough?

I pulled these two from my pot today. They've been put in triage lol. Lighting does not seem to be a problem. Grow light and several hours of indirect sun. Not enough water is obv an easy fix but if it's too much, how do I remedy that besides maybe putting it in dry substrate? Bought from Etsy. 4 arrived Tuesday. 2 look great. These two…less so.

  • Brown spot on Monstera Thai

My Monstera Thai has survived a thrips infestation, but now one leaf developed some brown spots (all the other leafs are fine). It is watered only when the top layer has dried out and it gets a fair amount of indirect light. It's I'm the middle of the room - but windows on opposite sites). What could be the reason for the brown spots and how do I save the leaf?
