• Time to get the fall brassicas started!

I’ve always planted lettuce throughout the season and found out brassicas can do well when planted later in the season for a fall harvest.

Boring pic but maybe some odd gardeners like me will get excited by it!

  • A mini success

I am perhaps the farthest thing from a gardener but I love gardens and flowers. I have no natural skill. I’ve been tending to one potted lime tree and it’s still alive, so I dipped one more toe in and bought a couple of things to plant outside. One of which were a few bare roots of butterfly weed. No other reason than I liked the picture and it is supposed to grow well in my zone. I planted 4 bare roots and three have started coming through the soil! Here’s one. It’s small but mighty, and enough to keep me encouraged.

  • What is this plant? Anybody have any ideas?

I'm not sure what this is. It's growing in middle Tennessee. It doesn't bloom. Any thoughts?

  • is my lavender plant beyond saving?

i have this lavender plant and i potted it a few days after i bought it. the pot has good drainage, and where I live has been particularly rainy (like every single day for 2 months, about an inch a week). i don’t water it more than that, unless it’s a particularly scorching day and the soil is super dry. the plant gets ~7 hours of sunlight every day. there is still *some* green on the plant, but im afraid i waited too long to pot it and now shes dead with no hope!

  • Bifurcated apex on the terminal leaflet of a White Walnut

Not sure how uncommon it is but it caught my eye the other day and I've never seen it before. I didn't spot any others on this feller. On a roadside tree (Montgomery County, MD)

  • Jelp my Jalapeno

Doesn't seem to be doing much after a month transplanted and now has this dark coloring on some leaves. Google says pests but there are no visible signs of aphids or mites.

6b and it's been very rainy here with every other day storms and showers at least since it's been in the garden bed. Only watered a few times with the hose. Full sun.

  • Euphorbia Rigida

I picked up this Euphorbia Rigida about a month ago. I was just wondering if the main trunk that you can see should be buried? It’s a woody stem with no roots growing on it. I just ask because, the pot that it came in was about 10 inches tall, and it was buried up to where the other smaller stems come out. And if my knowledge of trees tells me anything, it’s that you shouldn’t bury the trunk, and I wasn’t sure if the same applied here. I just repotted in a 4 inch tall terracotta pot because the other one seemed too big.

  • Level 2: Monstera

Levelled up from my Pothos with a fathers day gift. How do I encourage it to grow to the size of God and lift my roof off?
