  • 2 separate stalks or 1 stalk split in 2?

Title. Should I pull the smaller stalk? Or leave it?

  • My garden's queen. She's ~150 years old and it takes two men to hug the trunk.

  • For those plant parents that still struggle with a more scientific approach, try this mnemotechnic:

    It works on animals too!

  • My first two ever DIY gardens are up!

I just finished my first two DIY raised beds here in Ontario (zone 6a/7b? I’m still figuring that part out). They’re currently just a proof of concept, but if everything goes well I plan to build more to fill that narrow strip of lawn in front of the house. My daughter’s actually over her initial obsession with “real carrots” (now she’s all about lettuce and some other stuff), but our goal remains the same, to spend more time outdoors together, growing vegetables side by side and learning new things as we go.

  • My Gasteraloe turned pale after I repotted in succulent soil

I'm not an expert at all and have no idea how that came to be, as I've had the plant for a couple of years.

I had just repotted it when it turned pale. I've left it alone for a little just in case, and fertilised it a couple of weeks after. I'm hoping that's why the new leaf looks proper green.

To care for my plants I use Planta, which suggests watering every second week. It also helps with other tasks and I tend to follow its advice as it recommends to check before blindly following the suggestion (i.e. if the soil is still wet).

The plant is indoors, 3 meters from a window with light throughout the day (I live in Helsinki, so the days are quite long currently), but the plant gets indirect sunlight.

What can I do to make my plant happy again and not turn pale in the future?

  • Can I propagate this succulent?

Exactly as the post title says. This plant has had quite the evolution since the winter when it was reaching for sunlight and now it seems to be five independent plants all attached to one root system. I’m sure it’s possible to propagate these, but don’t really know how. Should I just cut the stems at an angle and put them in some dirt?

  • Go home seedling, you’re drunk!

I had to restart some edamame seeds (critters decided to eat all of them). This one started growing upside down. I guess I planted them a bit shallow.

  • Why are the leaves yellowing?

Why are the leaves of my mango plant yellowing?
I water like once/twice a week, when the soil is mostly dry and started fertilizing occasionally like two months ago.
Gets indirect sunlight for most hours of the day
