• Soil issue?

Hi I’m just starting out my raised beds. I had 50/50 topsoil compost mix and after the rain my soil seems to clump up more. I’m worried when it dries out it would be rock. I’m thinking of tilling the soil, add some coco coir, perlite and compost on top. any advice would be helpful.

  • Is this zz plant overwatered or not enough water?

I water it once per week.
    Also fertilize regularly.

Why leaves are turning yellow? Too much water? Not enough water?

  • French drain top layer

    Hi,
I'm installing a short French drain (about 10 feet) in my sloped backyard, which drains toward a seawall. The pipe will run in front of a firepit area and will partially be under sod and landscape rocks. The pipe is a solid perforated 3" pvc pipe (couldn’t do 4" due to seawall anchoring rods which limit the trench depth to 8")

In spots where the drain isn’t under turf, should I just use rocks on top, or add soil and then rocks?

Should I do a full buritto wrap even under the rocks?

  • Moonflower bloom, beside a Sunflower

My pops gifted me this moonflower and was surprised to see it bloomed early yesterday late evening. Thought it looked cool beside it’s sister?

  • Anyone know what these white dots are?

I have a rough green snake terrarium with isopods and white tails living inside as well. The white dots are under a bromeliad. I’m not sure if they are isopod eggs if they even lay any. Just need to know I I should be worried or not. Thank you to all that help answer.

  • New growth!

I have had ZZ plants for years now, and I rarely get to see the new growth in it's bright green stage!!!
They used to be my favorite houseplant - but now I have cats and have to keep them so out far of reach, I kind of forget them half the time. On the plus side - the cats have shown 0 interest in the ZZ's thanks to my spider plants! (The one in the background is out of reach currently, as well, to allow for some new growth. The poor babes have taken a beating from those dang cats )

  • My Daughter’s 2nd Grade Bean Sprout!

My daughter came home with a bean sprout after learning about plant life cycles in school. I transferred it to a rockwool cube and now I’ve got to put up a cage for support!
