• Help this plant!!

Yall helped me figure out what was going ding with my snake plant, now she’s flourishing! Please help me , help my roommate figure out what’s going on with his plant. I can add more pictures if necessary! I don’t believe my roommate waters super often but we’ve been getting ALOT of rain lately and he loves it outside yesterday hoping it would help. It only rained a little bit yesterday. The plant was in my roommates room which doesn’t get too much light, until yesterday when he moved it outside, since the sun isn’t too harsh right now because of all the rain. Let me know if I should ask anything else about the plant. Thank you

  • Should I pull these two onions? Are they toast?

Most of my onions and garlic are doing well, but a couple of the onions are pretty sad (I was over watering when I started). It's been a couple of weeks and these two haven't changed/grown much - should I just yank them out so they don't get diseased/rot and cause issues for the other plants?

    Thanks for your help!

  • What kind of tree/bush is this?

I was trying to look it up and found pictures of smoke trees/bushes, but to me the leaves look different from those.

  • Silver eukalyptus

I'm new to Reddit and plants, got this plant here, not sure why it seems to turn some leaf brown? Too much water or too much sun? Live in Northern Europe unsure how i should place it during summer guess taking it inside September to April under a plant lamp.

  • When you have a lot of houseplants & he has a lot of old hockey sticks…

You build a little potting station with a stick shelf!

  • Double bloom squash

Just wondering if I can leave it alone or take it down? Rest of the plant seems to be doing just fine and producing otherwise! Thanks :)

  • Monstera growth?

My monstera put out this shoot/leaf that isn’t a leaf?? It feels slightly textured but isn’t a leaf as far as I can tell. Yes I know I need a repot and pole fix I water every other week, using maybe a 1/2 gallon or so. The plant is right next to a window and also gets light from other windows in my living room. Just curious as to what this is and if it means I need to do something different with my plant care <3

  • Aphids on basil (treatments that are cat safe please!)

Seeking advice for aphid infestation on basil plant.

I repotted a bunch of store bought basil plants mid-May, and they’ve been growing pretty well. I went on holiday for a week and when I came back a couple of days ago, my best plant was absolutely covered in aphids!! The rest had a fair amount on them too, as they were being stored near each other, but I’m most upset about my big girl because she was growing so well/bushy :(

Anyway, I took all of the plants into my bathroom and showered them down for a while until I couldnt see any more aphids, then I sprayed them with a mix of water and dish soap (1tsp soap and \~750ml water), left it for an hour or so and then re-showered them to wash off the soap mixture. I wouldn’t have left them for that long but I forgot so I hope it won’t damage the plants ?!

I left them in the bathroom for about 24 hours but I do need to shower so I’ve had to remove them, they are now in front of the window in my bedroom so they can soak up some sun (unfortunately my bathroom gets virtually no sunlight). I have a fan pointed towards the window, and a buuuuunch of those sticky bug catchers (yellow shapes in pictures).

I’m thinking of spraying them down each day, I have a phobia of bugs which I am working through but I just cannot touch them (for squishing/manual removal? I’ve seen people suggest this but I fear I would just be sick if I tried it), and I was also thinking of repeating the bathroom showering process every few days, until the aphids have fully gone - but I’m worried about eggs in the soil not getting washed away and instead being pushed further in?? Is that a concern I should be having?

I’ve also seen online that people suggest neem oil but I have cats so not sure how safe this is? I’ve also seen people suggesting to scatter used and dried coffee grounds over the top of the soil to smother and repel aphids? AGAIN not sure how much to trust this - I only drink instant coffee so I would have to ask my local cafe if they could give me their used coffee grounds? I’ve also seen people suggest lavender oil which I do already have but I am very reluctant to use since it’s cat-toxic!!

My cats are pretty chill and have never tried to eat the basil before but I don’t want to introduce anything that is toxic just in case they do have a little nibble!

Does anyone have any advice on how I should change my approach to get rid of the aphids as well as what I can do to prevent this happening in the future?

  • AC condensate drain is slowly drowning my lawn

First time homeowner so I apologize if I’m misremembering what this pipe does but, from what I can recall talking to the builder, this pipe is the AC condensate drain. Drops water damn near all day especially in the summer.

Anyways, last year it didn’t seem to be an issue but this year I’ve noticed it’s slowly drowning/killing my grass (Bermuda). Is there anything I can do to stop this?

P.s. avert your eyes from my poorly squared off wood frame. Cutting wood while you have a 4 day old newborn isn’t a recipe for precision…
