• I think it’s an onion of some kind

Anyone know what this is? It is growing in a bunch in the raised bed that the previous owners of our house left for us. There’s quite a few of them and they are quite close together. This one is by far not the biggest one, but I haven’t pulled any others up. We’re in New York if that matters. If they are edible, I’d love to know how to know when to harvest them too.

    Thanks!

  • The beginning of the end

My burning bush has been overrun with aphids this year and I’ve been waiting for the ladybugs to lay eggs and have their larvae chew up these plump little destroyers. Their time is nigh.

  • Newbie - Need help

I bought this house few years ago and my backyard wasn't maintained. I continued the tradition of not taking care of it every year. Its in a complete mess with a lot of weed like clover, dandelion, Canadian thistle, creeping charlie. I need to get my act together and fix this. Its start of June, what can I do now and this season fall to atleast move to the right step. Also, advice for next season spring/fall.

I also have a slope towards the house which I have been trying to fix by dumping my dead clippings on the right.

Please go easy as this is all new to me and a bit overwhelming too at times.

  • Gardenia help! I fried it :(

I bought this gardenia a month ago. I left it outside in the sun for two days while I was doing some house work. That was 2 weeks ago. I think the sun fried it because after I brought it in, there were “burns” on its leaves. Can I save it?
I water once a week. The pot has drainage.

  • Help with this little guy

This guy is slowly getting worse. Pic 1 was from a year ago, pic 2 is a few months ago and pic 3 is now.
The soil is a mix of succulent soil, perlite and sand. I bottom water it only when it looks thirsty. It gets sunlight whenever I can, I live in a cloudy place but it’s under a few grow lights too.
Anything else I should or can do to help get this plant looking better? I was thinking of repotting it and adding some fertilizer.

  • What is this bug and can I just spray insecticide on my plant and the soil?

As the question, I found these white bugs on my plant but it looks fine otherwise. I water it about two times a week (it has drainage) and has indirect sunlight for about half a day. Thank you!!

  • Please help me with front yard landscaping ideas

Looking for some simple landscaping ideas to add some pop. I am going to remove that taller hedge that is blocking the window on the left, and also going to remove that tree on the left since it blocks the left side of the house when the leaves grow in. Any other ideas to enhance the curb appeal? Thanks.
